Before beginning her acting profession as a model, she worked as a Swedish fashion model. She won in the Miss Sweden competition. Then she moved to America and began appearing in a variety of films. The first movie credit she had was as Venusian in Abbott and Costello Go to Mars. In the following year, she won the Golden Globe award in the Most Promising Newcomer category, after appearing in the film Blood Alley.
